Lounging by the pool one blistering hot Atlanta summer day, my girlfriends and I were comparing notes on marriage over a glass of wine: its highs and lows, its unexpected quirks or sometimes surprising lack thereof, the best parts of the journey and the bits we happily left behind. Each of us had her own story to tell, but what we all had in common was that none of us – for whatever reason – had had a bachelorette party. I’m still not sure whether it was the wine or the heat that sparked the idea, but a Post Wedding Bachelorette Party it would be!
Now, I know that North Georgia is not traditionally associated with a girls trip (Vegas, anyone?), but with its blend of shopping, wining and dining, and small town charm, Blue Ridge certainly fit the bill for our girls weekend.
